Problem

We recognize that the high incidence of juvenile gun violence and recidivism in Michigan poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of young individuals and communities.

Objective

We are committed to reducing juvenile gun violence and recidivism rates in Michigan by implementing effective intervention programs and providing comprehensive support to at-risk youth.

Program Development

  • Collaborate with local law enforcement, community organizations, and schools to identify at-risk youth and areas with high gun violence and recidivism rates.

  • Design evidence-based intervention programs targeting key risk factors, including access to firearms, gang involvement, substance abuse, and lack of educational opportunities.

  • Provide comprehensive services such as mentoring, counseling, vocational training, and educational support to address the underlying factors contributing to gun violence and recidivism.

Community Engagement and Awareness

  • Conduct community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about the impact of juvenile gun violence and recidivism on individuals, families, and communities.

  • Organize workshops, town hall meetings, and public forums to engage community members, stakeholders, and policymakers in discussing prevention strategies and support for at-risk youth.

Collaboration and Partnerships

  • Forge partnerships with local law enforcement agencies, schools, community organizations, and social service providers to create a coordinated and comprehensive approach to addressing the issue.

  • Collaborate with other nonprofit organizations and advocacy groups to leverage resources, share best practices, and amplify the impact of intervention programs.

Quantitative Evaluation

  • Collect and analyze data on juvenile gun violence and recidivism rates before and after implementing intervention programs.

  • Measure the number of incidents, arrests, and re-offenses among the target population.

  • Track program participants' educational attainment, employment status, and overall well-being.

Qualitative Evaluation

  • Conduct interviews, focus groups, and surveys to gather feedback from program participants, their families, and community stakeholders.

  • Assess the perceived effectiveness and satisfaction with the intervention programs and support services.

  • Capture success stories and personal narratives to highlight the positive impact of Stronger Inc.'s initiatives.
